Yes. Soap is natural in the sense that it does occur, under the right circumstances, in nature. I have observed naturally occurring soap, yet did not realize what it was at the time. When I used to go camping with friends, we would always build an open pit fire. We would do some heavy barbequing of meats (back in those days)

on a grill that we set up over the fire. Sometimes, though, it would start to rain on our cookout or just after we had finished cooking. It was at these times that we noticed bubbles forming in the rain water as it ran through our fire. We all observed this and questioned why this occurred. Since there were no soapmakers or scientists among us, it remained a mystery.
